About the Company: Amazon Development Center (Tel Aviv) – D47

Job Description:

Amazon is seeking MS or PhD students for 2025 internships in various fields including machine learning, deep learning, speech, robotics, computer vision, optimization, quantum computing, automated reasoning, and formal methods. Interns will contribute to inventing, designing, and implementing cutting-edge solutions for complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

Own the design and development of end-to-end systems. This includes significant contributions to the entire development lifecycle.
Write technical white papers and create roadmaps. Contribute to the documentation and strategic planning of projects.
Drive production-level projects supporting Amazon Science. Work on projects with direct impact on Amazon’s research initiatives.
Collaborate with Amazon scientists and other interns. Work within a team environment to develop and deploy solutions.
Design new algorithms, models, or technical solutions. Contribute innovative ideas and implement them within a practical context.
Solve complex business problems. Apply your technical skills to address real-world challenges at Amazon.
Work with diverse groups and cross-functional teams. Collaborate effectively with individuals from various backgrounds and expertise.

Internship Details:

• Start dates throughout the year
• Duration: 3-6 months (full-time) or up to 12 months (part-time)
• Locations: Multiple locations across the EMEA region (Austria, Estonia, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, UAE, and UK). Not remote internships.

Basic Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or a related language.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
• Experience designing experiments and statistically analyzing results.
• Experience implementing algorithms using toolkits and self-developed code.
• Experience solving business problems through machine learning, data mining, and statistical algorithms.
