Job Description: Bechtel’s Information & Digital (I&D) University Hire Program – 2025

Bechtel’s I&D department seeks enthusiastic university graduates for its 2025 University Hire program. The program focuses on leveraging innovative solutions and technologies to provide a competitive advantage for the company. I&D utilizes cutting-edge technologies in the design, deployment, operation, and management of solutions to maximize business productivity.

Job Summary:

I&D University Hires will work with enterprise-level information management systems and practices to address global challenges. They will collaborate with industry information management systems to ensure a best-in-class response to computer-related incidents. The role offers diverse opportunities for individuals with a working knowledge of basic networking concepts.

Specific areas of hiring include: Infrastructure, Systems Engineering, Information Security, Software Engineering/Development, Big Data Analytics, and Information Management, as well as other corporate systems support roles. These roles are vital for information and data sharing among employees, clients, and partners to achieve company goals.

Major Responsibilities:

• Utilizing enterprise-level information management systems and practices.
• Coordinating best-in-class responses to computer-related incidents.
• Working with industry information management systems.

Plus Skills:

• Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., React, NodeJS, Python).
• Familiarity with databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL) and SQL and PL/SQL language.
• Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI and SSRS.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Cloud, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks.
• Familiarity with processing software such as Spark, PySpark, TensorFlow, Keras.
• Ability to work with Windows Operating System and applications.

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:
• Completed four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Technology, Information Systems Management, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Basic knowledge of computer systems, networks, and software applications.
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly.
• Eligibility to work and remain in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Some travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of digital-twin science and technologies.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Synapse, Purview, AzureML.
• Prior co-op or internship experience.

Salary: $81,360 – $97,632 annually (plus a 15% uplift for NYC and San Francisco positions, subject to change).
