Job Description: Undergraduate Research & Development Internship
This is a 10-12 week summer internship (starting May 12th or June 16th, 2025) for undergraduate students pursuing an Engineering or Life Sciences-related degree (graduation between December 2025 and June 2026).
Responsibilities: Interns will be assigned projects based on their skills and the company’s needs. Projects will be strategically and/or operationally important. Responsibilities may include:
• Partnering with leadership to identify and address areas for efficiency improvement and benchmarking against industry best practices.
• Becoming a process owner, critically reviewing processes, and proactively recommending improvements.
• Learning continuous improvement methodologies (PPI, Six Sigma, etc.) and promoting improvement initiatives.
• Adhering to company safety, training, and quality regulations (ISO compliance, GLP/GMP requirements).
• Executing experimental plans, analyzing data, and contributing to technical reports and product summaries.
• Investigating new methods/technologies and maintaining accurate lab notebooks to protect intellectual property.
• Collaborating with various functions (Business Development, Quality, Operations, Technical Services, Marketing) in new product commercialization.
Qualifications:
• Undergraduate student pursuing an Engineering or Life Sciences degree (graduation between December 2025 and June 2026).
• 0 years of work experience required; previous related internships preferred.
• Demonstrated track record of integrity, innovation, involvement, and intensity.
• Ability to champion change, achieve results, and navigate ambiguity.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and high emotional intelligence.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. (F-1, J-1, H-1, OPT, and CPT visas are not accepted for this internship).
Compensation:
• hourly rate: $21.50 – $28.75 (depending on location and cost of living).
• Relocation stipend: $5,000 (if located 50+ miles from the internship site).
• In California, the hourly pay range is estimated at $21.00–$24.00. A variable annual bonus may also be available.
