Job Description: Software Development Engineer-Test (SDE-T) Internship
Are you passionate about building secure, stable, testable, and maintainable code? Do you thrive in team environments and enjoy working on automation frameworks?
If so, Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer-Test (SDE-T) intern to join their team for the summer of 2025.
As an SDE-T Intern, you will:
• Collaborate with experienced Amazonians to use technology for software validation and verification.
• Invent, refine, and develop solutions to drive industry advancements.
• Build tools and automation frameworks to simplify QA testing processes.
• Troubleshoot, research, and resolve defects.
• Create and manage bug reports and effectively communicate with the team.
Key Job Responsibilities:
• Use your coding knowledge to create automated test scripts.
• Identify issues in both the original software and the testing scripts.
• Contribute to the evolution of Amazon technology by working on mission-critical projects.
• Solve complex technical challenges within the company.

• Full-time position with a typical workweek of 40 hours (Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm).

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience with at least one modern language such as Java, Python, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• Expected graduation date between October 2025 – September 2028.
• Ability to work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to a 12-week internship.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience from a technical internship.
• Enrolled in an academic program physically located in the United States.
• Experience with optimization mathematics, such as linear programming and nonlinear optimization.
• Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions.
• Ability to handle ambiguity and undefined problems and think abstractly.
