Job Description: Tax Seasonal Intern – Global Mobility Services
KPMG is seeking a Tax Seasonal Intern to join its Global Mobility Services practice. This role provides support to tax professionals in delivering tax compliance and advisory services to multinational companies and their mobile employees. The intern will work on both international assignments (employees working outside their home countries) and domestic state-to-state business travel.
Responsibilities include:
• Supporting KPMG’s Global Mobility Services tax professionals in providing tax and advisory services.
• Collaborating with tax and HR professionals at multinational companies to manage the tax implications of their global workforce.
• Preparing client correspondence and calculations related to international assignments, including policy issues, cost projections, tax settlements, and reconciliations.
• Analyzing and tracking expatriate payroll, compensation, benefits, global mobility, and other assignment-related issues.
• Preparing reports, analyzing data, and tracking global mobility tax compliance status and other assignment-related projects.
• Developing skills in key technologies used for client service delivery, such as AI, Alteryx, and Power BI.
Qualifications:
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Preferred coursework or concentration in Tax, Accounting, International Business, Economics, Human Resources, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Knowledge of expatriate services, global mobility, and tax is preferred.
• Foreign language skills are a plus.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality service, strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills, and proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills; ability to work effectively as a flexible and adaptable team player.
• Must reside within a commutable distance to the office and have reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel to client premises as needed.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship is preferred.
