Job Description:
This is an undergraduate placement scheme internship, a full-time role lasting an academic year. The intern will be assisting Disney’s media engineering team with the support and development of its media asset management and content supply chain systems. This role requires an on-site presence four days a week.
Responsibilities:
• Technical Support: Logging, tracking, and resolving issues reported by end-users concerning media management systems. Collaborating with third-party support teams to troubleshoot and resolve technological problems. Updating relevant documentation.
• Administrative Tasks: Conducting a range of technical, administrative, and organizational tasks to support Disney’s extensive media networks and direct-to-consumer platforms internationally. This likely involves data entry, report generation, and other organizational duties.
• Team Collaboration: Working closely with the media engineering team and third-party support teams to efficiently resolve issues and improve system performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Eligibility: Must be a second-year undergraduate student currently on an industrial placement year, planning to return to studies in Autumn 2026. Must have the right to work in the UK. Availability to begin full-time work from June 2025 is required.
• Technical Interest: A strong curiosity in media, engineering, or broadcasting is essential.
• Soft Skills: Attention to detail, ability to work effectively under pressure, excellent interpersonal skills (connecting professionally with people at all levels), strong organizational abilities (prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, managing administrative duties), and proficient MS Office skills.
• Potential: The company will assess potential in the following areas: building relationships and communicating effectively, driving results, thinking strategically, inspiring creativity and innovation, and exhibiting professional excellence.
