Job Description: Intern/Trainee in External Audit Services

As an intern/trainee, you will be part of a team solving complex business issues, contributing from strategy to execution. The role focuses on supporting select phases of financial statement audits and various projects. This involves demonstrating creative thinking, individual initiative, teamwork, building strong relationships with team members, actively seeking guidance, and prioritizing tasks with professional skepticism. The role requires contributing to:

Supporting Financial Statement Audits: Assisting with specific phases of the audit process.
Supporting Projects: Contributing to various projects, showcasing creativity and initiative within a team environment.
Collaboration and Communication: Building relationships with colleagues, proactively seeking feedback, and effectively communicating with various team members and leadership.
Task Management: Prioritizing and completing tasks efficiently and effectively, maintaining professional skepticism throughout.

Job Requirements and Preferences:

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, minimum GPA of 3.0.
Preferred Qualifications: Third or fourth-year students in a four or five-year degree program respectively, joining during winter/spring or summer before graduation. Meeting educational requirements for a CPA license (150 credit hours) or providing documentation showing eligibility through reciprocity is preferred.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills: Interest in auditing and public accounting, basic understanding of financial accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, and financial reporting systems (including GAAP), ability to research and analyze client, industry, and technical matters, problem-solving skills, prioritizing and managing multiple tasks, strong communication skills (both written and verbal), self-motivation, and a commitment to personal growth.
