About the Job: Search Frontend Intern
This 6-month internship (starting February 1st) within Salesforce’s Futureforce program offers opportunities for both technical and creative individuals. The internship focuses on the Search Frontend Service, a team responsible for the user experience of Salesforce CRM’s search engine, serving millions monthly. The team utilizes agile methodologies (SCRUM) and values quality, teamwork, and continuous learning, employing practices like Test-Driven Development (TDD), Pair Programming, and Mob Programming.
Job Description:
As a Search Frontend Intern, you will be part of a 5-6 person SCRUM team. Your main task will involve leveraging Generative AI technologies to reinvent the CRM’s search experience. This will entail creating a search function that delivers more contextual, personalized, and dynamic results tailored to individual user needs and CRM behavior.
The role also involves exploring Human-Machine Interaction, focusing on how users engage with search interfaces and designing solutions for a more intuitive and responsive search experience. You will contribute to transforming the search UX from a static process into an intelligent, adaptive tool. Ultimately, you will play a vital role in enhancing the speed, efficiency, and intelligence of the CRM search function.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
• Strong programming skills in Java and/or Kotlin
• Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience with RESTful web services integration (a plus)
• Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environments
• Teamwork skills and strong communication (oral and written)
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
