The HSI team is a fast-paced group of architects, data engineers, and software engineers responsible for building, running, and operating backend and reporting data operations.

Job Description: Software Engineering Intern (12-week paid internship)

This internship provides a 12-week paid learning experience within T-Mobile’s High-Speed Internet team. Interns will have the opportunity to network with other interns and company leaders, work with mentors, and contribute creative ideas. The role is focused on developing and implementing data and software solutions to meet business needs and improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quickly learn and understand assigned codebases, product areas, and systems to develop production-ready code.
• Complete tasks efficiently with minimal revisions.
• Analyze problem statements, propose effective solutions, considering trade-offs and edge cases.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with various stakeholders.
• Collaborate in an agile environment to produce high-quality software.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, C++, C#), with a focus on object-oriented design.
Experience with PySpark, Python, and Databricks is a significant plus.
Knowledge or certification in AWS is a plus.
• Previous software engineering experience (internships, work, coding competitions, publications) is highly valued.
Minimum Qualifications: At least 18 years of age, legally authorized to work in the United States, graduated within the last 12 months or actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree program. Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible. Relocation assistance may be provided. Intern wages range from $20/hour to $40/hour based on experience and location.
