About the Company:
Disney Enterprise Financial Services is a growing team within The Walt Disney Company. They are comprised of process experts and accounting professionals who provide accounting services to various Disney business segments. Specifically, this internship opportunity is within a team supporting Corporate Real Estate, focusing on the accurate accounting of lease holdings.
Detailed Job Description:
This is a full-time, six-month internship in Orlando, FL, running from January 2025 to June 2025. As a Lease Accounting Graduate Intern, your responsibilities will include:
• Journal Entries: Preparing and processing journal entries.
• Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations: Reconciling balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Accounting Research and Analysis: Conducting research and analysis related to accounting issues.
• Accruals: Preparing and managing accruals.
• Close Related Tasks: Supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Lease Accounting Straight Line Schedules: Creating and maintaining straight-line schedules for lease accounting.
• SOX Compliance: Assisting with maintaining compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
• Processing Invoices: Processing and verifying invoices.
• Various other project work: Supporting various other projects as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills: Ability to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills: Proficiency in using advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, pivot tables).
• Client service orientation: Ability to build strong relationships and provide excellent service.
• Solid interpersonal and organizational skills: Ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication, partnering, and customer service skills: Ability to work collaboratively and provide outstanding service.
• Strong project management and multi-tasking abilities: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university: Taking at least one class in the spring/fall semester prior to the internship, OR have graduated within the past 6 months, OR be currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship.
• Currently pursuing or have graduated within the last 6 months with a master’s degree or PhD in Accounting and/or MBA.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience/exposure working with Power Apps (within Microsoft Suite).
• Previous accounting internship and/or work experience.
Eligibility Requirements:
• At least 18 years of age.
• Unrestricted work authorization.
• Not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program.
Additional Information:
• The internship is primarily on-site in Orlando, FL, requiring a reliable internet connection and dedicated workspace for occasional work-from-home days.
• Candidates must provide their own housing and transportation.
• Limited housing opportunities are available through American Campus Communities for Florida-based interns.
• The internship is full-time (approximately 40 hours per week).
