Engineer-in-Training Job Description
This entry-level position provides an opportunity for individuals to gain experience in a variety of routine engineering tasks under close supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform basic product design modifications
• Develop basic detail drawings for construction
• Execute engineering change processes to support operations
• Create or modify 2-D AUTOCAD drawings
• Generate and scan prints
• Develop, prepare, and/or review engineering plans and designs for structures, facilities, and/or systems
• Develop, prepare, and review reports and studies to identify and recommend engineering solutions
• Conduct engineering inspections of systems operations and of structures and facilities during construction
• Review engineering program activities to make recommendations for changes in policy and procedures
• Conduct engineering research and provide technical assistance to consulting engineers, contractors, and construction managers
Qualifications & Experience:
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering from a college or university recognized by the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists, or a bachelor’s degree in construction management.
• Knowledge of basic engineering principles and techniques, engineering planning, equipment and materials used in engineering operations, specialized subjects like mathematics, statistics, mechanics, power, physics, and chemistry, and strength of materials.
• Ability to apply engineering principles to practical problems, use engineering equipment and tools (including computer applications), make, read, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, express ideas clearly and concisely, relate abstract ideas to actual needs, adopt effective courses of action, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

• All candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of hire.

• This is a site-by-design role, which may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at the assigned facility.
