Internship Program

The Sonoco internship program provides students with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the manufacturing and packaging industry. Interns will spend their summer working on impactful projects within a specific division, gaining a deeper understanding of Sonoco’s culture, processes, and developing a business mindset.

Program Details:

Location: Approximately 150 locations across 34 states. Interns are required to relocate for the summer.
Duration: Approximately 12 weeks. Start and end dates can vary based on individual needs.
Compensation: Paid internship with relocation assistance (U-Haul cargo trailer), housing and activity allowance, and Sonoco sponsored activities with other interns and new Emerging Leaders Associates.

Eligibility:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Masters degree program in Engineering, Sciences, Technology or Business majors.
• Previous internship experience (preferably in Manufacturing or functional area).
• Proven leadership experience.
• Technical aptitude.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation Breakdown:

Undergraduate Business/Non-Technical Degrees:
• Senior: $4,100 per month
• Junior: $3,900 per month
• Sophomore: $3,700 per month
• Freshman: $3,500 per month
Undergraduate Engineering/Technical Degrees:
• Senior: $4,700 per month
• Junior: $4,500 per month
• Sophomore: $4,100 per month
• Freshman: $3,900 per month
Graduate Degree Business/Non-Technical:
• Senior: $4,900 per month
Graduate Degree Engineering/Technical:
• Senior: $5,500 per month
