Human Resources Intern Job Description
This role is a collaborative team player who provides enthusiastic administrative support to the entire Human Resources function. The intern will work closely with various members of the HR team and ensure consistent adherence to HR processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Onboarding:
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to execute onboarding activities for new hires, ensuring a consistent experience
• Assist the HR team with collecting, organizing, and filing new hire paperwork
• Review and verify employment eligibility documents to ensure compliance with Form I-9 requirements
HR Support:
• Conduct regular audits of HR systems to ensure data accuracy and compliance
• Identify and resolve discrepancies or errors in HR systems data
• Provide administrative support to the recruitment team
• Support the HR team in organizing events for the summer internship program
• Manage the intern intranet page
• Assist with other various projects as needed
Peer Relationships & Self-Development:
• Encourage interns to share ideas and insights
• Serve as a resource for other interns
• Participate in team meetings and HR webinars
• Seek opportunities to learn from experienced team members
• Establish connections and effective working relationships with MMA colleagues and fellow interns
• Work towards achieving individual and team goals
• Develop and deliver group presentations
Required Qualifications:
• 1+ years of undergraduate completed
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Pursuing BS/BA in Human Resources or related field
• Intermediate or advanced skill level with Microsoft Word, Excel
• Strong attention to detail
