About Intuit:

About the GCAPP Department:

Intuit’s Global Corporate Affairs and Public Policy (GCAPP) Department supports a variety of areas, including:

Government Relations and Political Affairs: Engaging with government officials and policymakers to advocate for Intuit’s interests.
Philanthropy: Supporting charitable initiatives and community engagement.
Stakeholder Engagement: Building relationships with key stakeholders such as customers, employees, and investors.
Public Affairs: Managing Intuit’s public image and reputation.
Global Public Policy: Shaping public policy related to Intuit’s business and customers.
Tax Expertise: Providing expertise on tax matters.

GCAPP is involved in various issues impacting Intuit and its global operations, such as:

• Tax
• Privacy
• Data protection
• Artificial intelligence
• Financial services
• Small business

The Internship:

This internship offers a hands-on, cross-functional experience within Intuit’s Corporate Affairs operation, with a specific focus on Public Affairs. You will work under the guidance of a Senior Global Public Affairs Manager to learn practical skills and navigate a fast-paced, global environment. The internship aims to support Intuit’s public policy objectives in global, federal, and state markets.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):

• Experience in the technology sector.
• Demonstrated interest in Public Affairs or Corporate Affairs, especially within a technology company.
• Experience with digital marketing campaigns, press and media communications (ideally within Public Affairs or policy).
• Experience with Google Suite, Slack, Mailchimp, and drafting/sending emails.

Project Highlights:

Draft strategy memos: Conduct research and analysis on emerging public policy trends (especially related to small business and AI) that could affect Intuit.
Support paid and earned media campaigns: Contribute to campaigns that build brand awareness, highlight customer policy priorities, and engage key audiences.
Collaborate with agencies: Work with external creative and PR agencies to establish research-driven goals and actionable insights.
Maintain & refresh web content: Update Intuit’s Global Corporate Affairs web properties to support paid media campaigns.
Develop content and manage newsletters: Create content for internal GCAPP newsletters and manage their delivery and performance.
Drive integration across teams: Infuse creative thinking to improve collaboration between GCAPP, Brand, Marketing, and Corporate Communications teams.
Analyze legislation: Summarize and analyze proposed legislation related to privacy and its impact on Intuit’s priorities.
Contribute to other GCAPP initiatives: Participate in key projects and activities.

This internship is scheduled for the summer of 2025.
