Summer 2025 Marketing Internship:
Department Overview: The Marketing Department is responsible for promoting NYCEDC’s diverse portfolio of projects and programs to the public. They create compelling content to showcase the impact of NYCEDC’s work across the five boroughs, including business development campaigns and industry growth initiatives.
Intern Responsibilities:
• Content Creation: Working closely with the Writer/Content Developer and Content Director, interns will create copy for various marketing materials, including:
• Brochures
• Postcards
• Presentation decks
• Digital advertisements
• Social media collateral
• Scripts
• Content Review and Editing: Drafting and reviewing content for the NYCEDC website, researching and drafting content for newsletters, proofreading, and copyediting marketing materials.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Preferred field(s) of study: Marketing, Communications, Journalism
• Enrollment: Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program. Recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Passion for NYCEDC’s mission: Demonstrated enthusiasm for NYCEDC’s goals of economic growth and inclusivity.
• Strong communication skills: Demonstrated written, verbal, and analytical skills.
• Technical proficiency: Experience in using database and presentation tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Organizational skills: Detail-oriented, organized, able to multi-task, and manage deadlines.
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Full-time commitment: Ability to work full-time, Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM, and complete the entire 10-week program.
Salary Target:
• Undergraduate-level students: $19.00/hour
• Graduate-level students: $24.00/hour
