Job Description: Summer Internship – Production Development

This summer internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the food science industry at Schreiber Foods. As an intern, you will work closely with Research Scientists and customers, contributing to various projects focused on product development and technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development: Follow the Production Development Process/SOP to develop and commercialize new products.
Sample Preparation: Prepare cheese, yogurt, and other product samples as requested by customers.
Pilot and Plant Trials: Assist with scaling up new products, including formulation, weighing, cooking, recording, and reporting results.
Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to Research Scientists and Staff, including ingredient screening, data analysis, and shelf life testing.
Project Work: Develop work plans, conduct experiments, write reports, and explore new project opportunities.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively with R&D scientists, operations, marketing, engineering, and customers.
Documentation: Assist with documenting technical information and exploratory project work.
Communication: Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing an advanced degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
• Ability to work up to 40 hours during the summer of 2025.
• Computer literacy, strong communication and organizational skills, high attention to detail, mechanical aptitude.
• Must have reliable transportation.
