World Internship Program

The World Internship Program is a 10-week summer program designed to develop future talent for the company. Interns gain valuable experience and insight into the insurance industry, including:

Understanding the insurance brokerage cycle: From identifying and marketing risks to implementing service requests and managing renewals.
Learning about different insurance products and services: Gaining a comprehensive understanding of World’s offerings.
Developing a foundation for a career in insurance: Building skills and knowledge relevant to the industry.

Internship Program Details:

Duration: 10 weeks, during the summer months.

Placement: Interns are placed in one of the following departments:

Commercial Lines
Personal Lines
Surety Placement
Claims

Responsibilities:

Contribute to the team’s success: Assist with assigned tasks, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Learn about World’s services: Gain a deeper understanding of how World helps clients mitigate risk and improve financial performance.
Build a strong foundation for a career: Develop skills, gain experience, and establish a professional network.
Support client relationships: Contribute to positive client interactions by providing excellent service and communication.
Develop business skills: Learn to create and present proposals, understand risk management, and improve time management strategies.

Program Components:

Daily work with a manager: Interns receive direct mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals.
Programs and events: Participants engage in:
Intern Orientation at Iselin, New Jersey headquarters
Speaker presentations and Town Halls
monthly webinars by Executive Leadership
Learning sessions with the CEO and COO
Self-paced online program from the Council for Insurance Agents and Brokers
Networking, volunteer, and social events
Developmental workshops

Qualifications:

Enrolled in a business program: Must be a student at an accredited university or college, graduating in May 2026 or December 2025.
Strong preference for Insurance and Risk Management majors.
Onsite work requirement: Interns must be willing to work onsite, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (remote internships are not offered).
Customer support experience preferred.
Strong organizational and computer skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Independence and teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members.
Self-motivation and drive: Demonstrated ability to work with deadlines and maintain a sense of urgency.
Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, active listening, and problem-solving abilities.
Multitasking and prioritization: Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently with discretion.
Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
