About The Manufacturing Engineer Co-op Program

This 12-week program places you at an Owens Corning manufacturing plant during the Fall term. You will be mentored by experienced technical specialists and assigned value-added projects. These projects will provide you with hands-on experience in the production environment, focusing on:

Safety leadership
Process and product improvement
Productivity increases
Waste elimination
Total Productive Maintenance

You will also develop key manufacturing engineer competencies such as:

Troubleshooting and problem-solving processes
Leveraging analytics and data-based decision-making
Enhancing leadership capabilities and leading teams
Effective communication and performance elevation
Strengthening technical expertise
Understanding customer-driven focus

Upon completion of the co-op, you may be offered an internship/co-op or full-time employment in Owens Corning’s Operation Leadership Development Programs.

Qualifications

To be considered, you must have:

A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a relevant STEM major.
Previous relevant internships/co-ops in a manufacturing setting.
Demonstrated leadership in professional, service, or social organizations.
Willingness and flexibility to relocate.

Location: Participants will be assigned to various manufacturing sites across the United States.
