Human Resources Internship Description
This 10-week internship is part of Verizon’s award-winning Campus program, which offers meaningful work and projects that deliver tangible business impact. Interns have the opportunity to network with V Teamers across the globe, find mentors, and establish lasting friendships.
This specific internship will focus on employee engagement and employee relations. Interns will work within the HR Business Partner organization, building connections with HR Centers of Excellence to support Verizon employees. They will have the chance to contribute to impactful projects and learn from the best minds in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leverage critical thinking, presentation, leadership, organizational and analytical skills.
• Develop business and technical skills by working with the HR Business Partner organization.
• Contribute to impactful projects.
• Network with other interns, professionals, and business leaders.
• Generate smart solutions to business problems.
Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related major with an expected completion date between December 2025 and June 2026.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
• Willingness to work in Basking Ridge, NJ.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous internship in human resources and/or demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in human resources.
• Coursework or previous internship experience in data analytics, organizational design, human resources management, leadership, and change management.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills with an ability to understand multiple perspectives and customer needs.
• Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Demonstrated verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience working with others to resolve difficult conflicts.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and leadership skills.
Work Location:
This is a hybrid internship with a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum of eight assigned office days per month set by your manager. The internship will be based out of Basking Ridge, NJ. Relocation assistance may be available.
