Summer Internship – Human Resources Management

This is a paid full-time internship within the Human Resources Management Department at BNSF Railway. It will run from June 9, 2025 to August 1, 2025, with two positions available. The internship provides a monthly salary of $4,206.

Location: Fort Worth, TX (with the possibility of remote work one day per week).

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and participate in projects that impact business decisions and the organization’s future.
Partner with HR teams to share insights, propose recommendations, and present proposals to team leaders and senior HR leaders.
Participate in various HR department activities such as hiring, performance management, and talent development, gaining exposure to these processes and understanding HR’s impact on the organization.
Demonstrate leadership, teamwork, clear communication, adaptability, and resilience to overcome obstacles and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.

Training:

• Two-day orientation in Fort Worth, Texas, offering a company overview and networking with leaders.
• Support of ongoing projects and practical training with the department.

Successful interns may be hired as full-time Management Trainees upon graduation.

Basic Qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States and at least 18 years old upon hire.
• No sponsorship required for work authorization.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business, or a similar degree program from an accredited university.
• Minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA.
• Less than 3 years of professional work experience (excluding internships, part-time jobs, or positions held while pursuing undergraduate and/or graduate degrees).
• Reliable transportation to and from the assigned BNSF location.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior internship experience or less than 3 years of work experience in Human Resources or a related field.
• Held a leadership position in a campus, community, or extracurricular organization.
• Pursuing a degree in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology.
