Summer Internship – Human Resources Management
This is a paid full-time internship within the Human Resources Management Department at BNSF Railway. It will run from June 9, 2025 to August 1, 2025, with two positions available. The internship provides a monthly salary of $4,206.
Location: Fort Worth, TX (with the possibility of remote work one day per week).
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and participate in projects that impact business decisions and the organization’s future.
• Partner with HR teams to share insights, propose recommendations, and present proposals to team leaders and senior HR leaders.
• Participate in various HR department activities such as hiring, performance management, and talent development, gaining exposure to these processes and understanding HR’s impact on the organization.
• Demonstrate leadership, teamwork, clear communication, adaptability, and resilience to overcome obstacles and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
Training:
• Two-day orientation in Fort Worth, Texas, offering a company overview and networking with leaders.
• Support of ongoing projects and practical training with the department.
Successful interns may be hired as full-time Management Trainees upon graduation.
Basic Qualifications:
• Legally authorized to work in the United States and at least 18 years old upon hire.
• No sponsorship required for work authorization.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business, or a similar degree program from an accredited university.
• Minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA.
• Less than 3 years of professional work experience (excluding internships, part-time jobs, or positions held while pursuing undergraduate and/or graduate degrees).
• Reliable transportation to and from the assigned BNSF location.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior internship experience or less than 3 years of work experience in Human Resources or a related field.
• Held a leadership position in a campus, community, or extracurricular organization.
• Pursuing a degree in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology.
