The Video Content team at Tesla is responsible for creating engaging video content across various platforms, including social media, websites, events, and global channels. The team is passionate about their work and strives to create high-quality content that effectively communicates Tesla’s brand message.

About the Internship

This internship is for a Social Media Focused Video Producer based in Fremont, CA. The intern will be involved in all aspects of video production, from concept development to post-production.

Responsibilities:

Develop video concepts: Create engaging and effective video content that aligns with business needs.
Storyboard creation: Communicate video concepts to stakeholders and collaborators.
Content creation: Brainstorm, coordinate, capture, and edit Tesla social media video content.
Interdepartmental collaboration: Coordinate with other departments within Tesla to plan video shoots.
Location scouting: Identify and scout locations, arrange rentals, and secure permits.
Shoot coordination: Arrange car-to-car shoots, work with law enforcement, insurance agencies, and permitting agencies for traffic control.
Shot lists and schedules: Create detailed shot lists, shooting schedules, and call sheets.
Equipment and talent: Acquire rental equipment, props, and hire and manage talent or external vendors.
Camera operation: Design and execute effective shots for video content. Drone operation experience is a plus!
Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with the team and all parties involved.
Time and budget management: Effectively manage time and budget for productions of varying length and complexity.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Film, Production, or a related field.
• Experienced camera operator and video producer.
• Pre-production and shoot planning experience.
• Experience developing compelling video concepts, operating the camera, and assisting with pre-production tasks, including storyboarding, permitting, and planning logistics.
• Creative, organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience creating content for social media.
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere is preferred.
