Job Description

Mary Kay is seeking talented undergraduate and graduate students for its Internship Program, offering a hands-on, learning-intensive experience at the #1 Direct Selling brand of Skin Care and Color Cosmetics in the World. Interns will gain valuable work experience in a dynamic environment.

Key Program Highlights:

Hands-on Experience: Interns participate in activities that introduce them to Mary Kay’s people-centered culture, products, and Independent Sales Force.
Learning Opportunities: The program includes professional development Lunch & Learns, a formal mentorship program, social and volunteer activities, cross-functional projects, special events including the Mary Kay U.S. Seminar, and networking opportunities with members of the executive team.
Manufacturing Focus: Mary Kay’s new and technologically advanced manufacturing facility in Lewisville, TX, produces skincare and cosmetics in a high-volume environment with an emphasis on quality, operational efficiency, and responsiveness to customer needs.
Internship Details: The 10-week summer internship runs from early June to mid-August. It is a paid position starting at $20/hour, with a Monday-Friday, 40-hour work week requiring 4-5 days in the office. Interns will receive necessary equipment, such as a laptop.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Responsibilities: Interns may work with teams in areas like Quality Engineering, Corporate Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Process Engineering, Process Operations, and Package Operations.
Qualifications: Strong candidates possess proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, basic project management skills, a basic understanding of experimental design and laboratory work, and a strong inclination for new technology and abstract ideas.

Minimum Requirements:

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree.
• Enrolled full-time (undergraduate) or part-time (graduate) as defined by your university.
• Minimum Sophomore status, with rising juniors or seniors preferred.
• Preferred Degrees: Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
