About the Starbucks Summer Internship Program:

The Starbucks Internship Program is a paid, full-time, 10-week program (June – August 2025) designed to provide students with meaningful work experience in a field of interest. Job Description: Business Development Intern

As a Business Development Intern, you will conduct market research on a selected industry segment (e.g. healthcare, travel, college & university) to gather consumer and business insights. You will develop a compelling Starbucks value proposition and create effective sell-in materials aimed at key licensed store opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive market analysis that informs business development strategies using academic research, industry best practices, and stakeholder feedback.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and craft solutions that enhance market positioning and customer engagement.

Qualifications:

• Strong interest in Business Development, Marketing, or Market Research
• Experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative research methods
• Analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with diverse teams

Program Eligibility:

• Active enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree
• Preferred studies in business administration, marketing, economics, or related fields
• Anticipated graduation date between December 2025 – June 2026
• Ability to work full time from June – August 2025
• Eligibility to work in the United States

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with systems/data architecture
• Strong interpersonal skills including excellent communication and the ability to collaborate and work well with others
• Strong analytical and problem-solving habits
• Experience presenting technical concepts in an accessible way
