About The Role
Dow Jones is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Learning & Development Summer Intern to join their Learning & Development team.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of learning and development while contributing to the growth and success of the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the design, development, and delivery of training programs, including creating training materials, conducting research, and coordinating logistics.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify learning needs and develop customized training content.
• Develop and maintain training databases, track learner progress, and analyze training metrics to measure program effectiveness.
• Support the creation and maintenance of the company’s learning management system (LMS), including uploading courses, managing user accounts, and ensuring system integrity.
• Conduct research on emerging trends and best practices in learning and development, and make recommendations for incorporation into training programs.
• Assist in the planning and execution of in-person instructor-led sessions and corporate events.
Qualifications:
• Completed at least two years towards a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, education, writing, curriculum design, instructional design, or related fields.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality in data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Passion for learning and development, with a desire to contribute to the growth and success of employees and the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Google Suite of products.
This role is hybrid, based in the New York City office.
