About the Starbucks Summer Internship Program
The Starbucks Summer Internship Program is a paid, 10-12 week program (June – August 2025) held at the Starbucks Support Center in Seattle, their corporate headquarters.

About Starbucks Data, Analytics, & Insights
Data, Analytics, Insights & Business Operations (DAIBO) at Starbucks uses data, analytics, and insights to help Starbucks partners make better decisions. Their analyses and data products provide a comprehensive view of Starbucks customers, stores, partners, supply chain, marketing, and more.
DAIBO’s analytics cloud ecosystem allows partners to explore new data sources and create insights across the business. Interns will be involved in key projects ranging from statistical analyses, data visualization, and machine learning to driving adoption of DAIBO’s tools and products. They will work closely with data analysts, decision scientists, and data scientists to answer enterprise business questions.
Data Analyst Intern in Data Science
This internship focuses on creating data-driven insights that inform business decisions in the marketing, product, and digital organizations. The work includes:
• Descriptive analyses and ad-hoc deep dives
• Predictive models and advanced data products
The team emphasizes developing business acumen and stakeholder relationships.
Required Skills and Experience
• Experience with data preparation: Ability to summarize data, build data pipelines, and automate data preparation processes.
• Skill with coding: Experience working with SQL and R/Python.
• Experience building statistical or machine learning models: Hands-on experience and/or relevant coursework on statistical techniques (e.g., regression, t-tests, forecasting, etc.) or machine learning (e.g., random forests, clustering, etc.).
Preferred Skills and Experience
• Familiarity with SQL, R, or Python
• Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork.
• Data visualization skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving habits
• Experience presenting technical concepts in an accessible way
