CNN Enterprise Intern: ATL OR NYC – Spring 2025

This internship will be located in the ATL or NYC area and requires regular in-office attendance based on the intern manager’s schedule.

What is CNN Enterprise?

CNN Enterprise focuses on sharing stories that need to be told. These stories delve into important issues of our time, providing in-depth investigations and insightful perspectives. Examples include:

• Investigating the botched police response to the Uvalde school massacre
• Exploring life in El Salvador under its controversial president
• Understanding the perspectives of Black fans of former President Donald Trump

What will the intern do?

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Understanding the process of crafting TV and text stories: This includes researching, interviewing, scripting, editing, and producing for both television and online platforms.
Contributing to story vetting and research: The intern will help identify and investigate potential stories.
Assisting in guiding stories from initial concept to final production: The intern will play a role in shaping the narrative and ensuring a high-quality end product.
Developing research, interview, and production skills: This is an opportunity to hone your craft and gain valuable hands-on experience.
Contributing to stories for CNN: The intern will have the chance to contribute to stories that reach a wide audience.

What are the qualifications?

• Passion for news and strong self-motivation
• Ability to multitask effectively
• Proven news writing experience with work samples (published bylines or video pieces)
• Excellent attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Keen understanding of how to identify and tell compelling news stories
• Ability to think creatively and find innovative ways to engage audiences

Additional Requirements:

• Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the duration of the internship.
• Must be a rising Junior or Senior with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Important Notes:

• The internship program runs for 12 weeks from January 27th to April 18th.
• Interns will work 16-24 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.
• The internship is paid with a competitive hourly wage.
• Relocation is not provided.
• Interviews will take place from October through early December.
