Job Description:
Summer 2025 Internship – Capital Markets (Westlake Village, CA)
Responsibilities:
This paid internship offers the opportunity to gain real-world experience in the Capital Markets department, specifically within the Lock Desk and Trade Desk.
Lock Desk:
• Enforce the Lock Policy by handling daily client inquiries.
• Train to handle reprices, relocks, extensions, renegotiations, pair-offs, substitutions, and price validations.
• Become familiar with AmeriHome loan programs, rate sheets, and daily pricing strategies.
• Gain exposure to Delegated and Non-Delegated Correspondent clients and the Retail Division.
Trade Desk:
• Train to assist traders in managing bid flows and reviewing bid tapes for accuracy.
• Gain exposure to bidding strategy.
Program Details:
• 10-week program running from June to August (flexible dates available).
• Participate in business projects, mentorship, leadership development training, and team-building activities.
• Potential for extended employment opportunities for top performers.
Qualifications:
• Undergraduate student currently enrolled in a related field of study.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision.
• Interest in the Mortgage Industry.
• SQL or experience with any database query is preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis (no immigration sponsorship offered).
Compensation and Benefits:
• hourly range for new hires is generally $21.50 for Westlake Village, CA.
