Procurement Internship at CSX
Duration: 10 weeks

Objective: This internship provides a comprehensive immersion in CSX’s procurement methods and culture. Interns will gain practical experience and contribute to real-world projects, ultimately improving decision-making and financial performance for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Management: Interns will work on assigned procurement projects, collaborating with business partners to analyze various business initiatives, such as marketing, operational, and capital projects.
• Financial Analysis: Interns will provide analytical support for operational reviews, resource allocation strategies, and financial valuations.
• Strategic Development: Interns will contribute to the development of short- and long-term strategies for supply chain and procurement of resources.
• Benefit Quantification: Interns will help develop and utilize procurement strategies to quantify benefits and drive sound, data-driven decisions.
• Communication and Presentation: Interns will present analyses and findings to senior management and business partners from other departments.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
• Education: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• GPA: Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4-point scale).
Knowledge and Skills:
• Academic Excellence: Demonstrated strong academic performance with a specific interest in procurement and supply chain management.
• Leadership and Initiative: Proven ability to take initiative and demonstrate leadership qualities.
• Communication: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
• Presentation Skills: Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to senior-level audiences.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
