Job Description: Data Summer Scholar
This role is part of Deloitte’s Government & Public Services practice and focuses on leveraging data analytics and technology to solve complex problems for government and public sector clients. As a Data Summer Scholar, you’ll:
• Collaborate with a client service team: Work alongside experienced consultants to deliver solutions that generate value for clients.
• Design and develop data-driven systems: Build cloud-based data processing pipelines, machine learning models, and data visualization dashboards.
• Utilize data analytics and technology skills: Apply your expertise to enable data-driven decision making.
• Develop your skills and knowledge: Benefit from formal and informal training, mentorship, and real-world experience on client engagements.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Current enrollment in a full-time academic program with a target graduation date by August 2026 or a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Majors: Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative fields.
• Strong academic record: Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (3.4 preferred).
• Analytical and critical thinking skills: Ability to solve complex problems and communicate findings effectively.
• Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to travel up to 50%: Based on project requirements and client locations.
• U.S. Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain clearance.
• Legal authorization to work in the US: No sponsorship is provided.
Compensation:
• The wage range is estimated at $38/hour.
• Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and location.
