Summer Internship Program

The Morningstar Summer Internship Program is a ten-week program designed for college students entering their final year of study. It offers participants:

Real-world experience: Interns will work on individual and group projects addressing actual business challenges at Morningstar.
Industry insights: Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the financial services and securities industries.
Business development skills: They’ll acquire valuable skills in research, analysis, collaboration, and presentation.
Mentorship: Interns will receive guidance and support from experienced Morningstar professionals.
Career opportunities: Successful interns can apply directly to the Morningstar Development Program upon graduation.

Internship Role

The internship program is open to students in all fields of study who demonstrate an interest in investing and the financial services industry. Interns will be assigned projects relevant to their backgrounds, and regular meetings with advisors and mentors will help them achieve their summer goals.

Responsibilities:

Individual Project: Address a specific business problem through research, analysis, and creative thinking.
Group Case Study: Collaborate on a ten-week group project, presenting results to senior leaders.
Training Sessions: Participate in sessions to build a foundation of knowledge about Morningstar’s operations.

• Strong academic record.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor’s degree program, graduating in spring/summer 2026.
• Resume is required for application, with “Resume” in the file name.

Work Environment:

• Morningstar offers a hybrid work environment with a combination of remote and in-person work (at least 3 days in the office).
