Operations Management Associate Job Description

This position is a training role designed to prepare individuals for leadership positions as plant Operations Supervisors within Cargill’s fast-paced production facilities.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to a collaborative and passionate team dedicated to feeding the world.
Gain valuable experience in various aspects of plant operations, including:
• Operations
• Environmental, Health & Safety Leadership
• Engineering/Maintenance
• Accounting
• Continuous Improvement
• Human Resources/Talent Management/Employee Relations
Develop skills in leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making.
Gain exposure to diverse business areas within Cargill’s Protein Facilities.
Work in a demanding environment with varying shift hours and occasional weekend or on-call duties.

Qualifications:

Required:

Post-secondary education: Pursuing a degree from an accredited program, graduating between May 2022 and May 2025.
Canadian Forces experience: Achieving at least the rank of Master Corporal or equivalent.
Relevant work experience: Four years of experience in operational, mechanical, and/or leadership roles.
Legal entitlement to work in Canada.
Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Willingness and ability to relocate.
Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
Flexibility to work varying shifts (including weekends and on-call duties).

Preferred:

• Degree in agriculture, business, or engineering (e.g., Animal Science, Ag-Economics, Ag-Business, Ag-Education, Agronomy, Food Science, Feed Science, Meat Science, Grain Science, Operations Management, Ag-Systems Management, Ag-Engineering, Supply Chain, Mechanized Systems Management, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Distribution).
