Tax Part Time Intern – Business Tax Services

KPMG is seeking a Tax Part Time Intern to join their Business Tax Services practice. This internship offers the opportunity to be part of a diverse team working with high-profile clients, analyzing complex business opportunities and challenges.

Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance: Performing tax-related tasks involving tax compliance for various clients, including partnerships, corporations, and S-corporations.
Data Analytics: Participating in data analytics assignments using KPMG’s technology, creating tax return work papers and tax returns for corporate clients.
Offshore Coordination: Coordinating with offshore resources for tax-related projects.
Client Relationships: Working within a multi-disciplinary team to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Professional Development: Staying up-to-date on current tax practices and building capabilities in key technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, and Power BI.

Qualifications:

Education: Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelors or Masters in business, accounting, finance, taxation, mathematics, economics, information technology, data and analytics, engineering (financial, industrial or systems), or an equivalent program.
Preferred:
• Accounting and Taxation degrees or areas of study
• Pursuing CPA licensure requirements in the office’s location
• GPA of 3.0 or above
• Coursework or minor in information systems, software engineering, computer science, or data and analytics
Skills:
• Demonstrated quality service mindset
• Strong technical aptitude, critical thinking, and MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent communication, time management, leadership skills, and adaptability
• Resourceful in delivering high-quality work
• Ability to learn and navigate technologies like AI, Alteryx, and Power BI
Other:
• Must reside within a commutable distance to the office and have reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel to client premises as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
