Job Description: Marketing Intern

Location: 329 Porter Ave Buffalo, NY
Schedule: To be determined based on class schedule and business needs.
Pay Range: $15.00 per hour.

General Description:

This internship offers a dynamic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing, working closely with the Marketing Manager to implement and promote the dining program at D’Youville University. You will be involved in various aspects of marketing, including:

Market Research: Understanding the needs of the target market (students, faculty, staff) to inform marketing strategies.
Planning & Brainstorming: Developing creative ideas for promotions and campaigns.
Promotions & Advertising: Implementing marketing initiatives across various platforms, such as social media, email, and events.

This internship goes beyond typical intern roles, allowing you to take the lead on projects and request assignments that expand your skills and knowledge base.

Requirements:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Customer service experience/knowledge
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms
• Good to excellent interpersonal skills
• General interest and knowledge of marketing
• Knowledge of graphic design tools is a plus
• Prior marketing-related experience is a plus
• Experience in Event Planning/Execution

Responsibilities:

• Assist with planning, organizing, and hosting events.
• Assist with the “Dine on Campus” program.
• Contribute to social media calendar development and promotions.
• Act as a brand representative for Chartwells at D’Youville University.
• Conduct marketing audits.
• Complete general administrative tasks.
• Participate in Marketing Boot Camp.
• Conduct student surveys to collect marketing research.
• Create marketing materials for various needs.
• Manage signage in multiple locations.
• Assist with developing concepts, campaigns, and imagery to effectively communicate with the target market.
• Manage website and social networking profile content.
• Attend meetings and events as required.
