Job Description – Business Management Intern
Location: 1910 Rosemont Drive Houston Harte C San Angelo, TX

Requirement: Business Management Studies preferred.
Pay Range: $12.00 per hour.
General Description:
This internship offers the opportunity to work closely with leaders in the hospitality group at Angelo State University, gaining hands-on experience and developing skills necessary for a successful career in hospitality. You’ll be exposed to various aspects of the industry, including:
• Operations: Understanding the day-to-day running of the hospitality business.
• Marketing: Gaining insights into promoting and branding hospitality services.
• Administration: Learning about administrative tasks and processes within the hospitality sector.
• Guest Services: Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Problem Resolution: Developing skills to handle and resolve guest issues effectively.
• Planning & Implementation of Innovation: Contributing to the development and implementation of new ideas and improvements.
• Client Relationship Skills: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.

Job Responsibilities (May include any or all):
• Executing operational standards
• Managing financials, P&L, and loss prevention
• Ensuring safety and quality assurance, including safe food handling and a safe work environment
• Delivering exceptional guest experiences
• Managing client relations and contractual commitments
• Supporting associate learning and development
• Providing operational support for serving platforms
• Working in different settings: front of house (FOH), back of house (BOH), catering, marketing, and administration
• Managing schedules, time management, and people
• Managing inventory
Learning Objectives:
• Develop awareness, understanding, and skills to work effectively in a diverse environment.
• Gain experience through learning, observation, and practice in various aspects of the hospitality industry.
