Social Media Intern Job Description

This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of Disney Entertainment by managing and distributing social media content. You’ll be at the forefront of engaging audiences through the power of social media, ensuring that Disney’s iconic brands continue to connect with fans around the world.

Responsibilities:

Content Distribution: Collaborate with the team to strategically distribute social media content, ensuring it reaches the right audiences at the right time.
Social Media Asset Management: Manage and maintain Disney Entertainment’s always-on social media assets, ensuring consistent brand messaging and a compelling online presence.
Global Collaboration: Liaise with global and regional teams to source assets and obtain content approvals, ensuring smooth collaboration and efficient content flow.
Agency Management: Partner with agencies to manage social media communities, overseeing content calendars, scheduling, and publishing, ensuring smooth operations and a vibrant online presence.

This role requires a strong understanding of social media platforms, including:

Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends and innovations, adapting strategies to maximize engagement and reach.
Content Formats: Be proficient in leveraging different content formats (videos, images, text, etc.) to create engaging and effective social media campaigns.

Internship Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.
• Must be an undergraduate student and not yet graduated during the internship period.
• Full-time commitment (Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm) from January to June 2025.
• Strong fluency in English is essential.
• Passion for movies, series, and entertainment is a must.
• Knowledge of The Walt Disney Company’s content library, brands, franchises, and characters is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to effectively collaborate with local, regional, and global teams.
• Strong adaptability to new technologies and rapidly changing environments.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines.
• Results-oriented mindset with a proven track record of success.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
