Job Description – Data Science Analyst Intern

This 10-week summer internship program within the Data & Analytics team at JPMorgan Chase offers a unique opportunity for aspiring data scientists to gain valuable experience and potentially secure a full-time role.

As a Data Science Analyst Intern, you will:

Collaborate with experienced data scientists to develop end-to-end solutions that have real-world impact on clients and customers.
Work on projects involving: machine learning, business intelligence, data engineering, and visualization.
Contribute to solutions at the intersection of data science, research, and business domain expertise.
Experience mentorship, project work, and speaker series with senior leaders.

To excel in this role, you will need:

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or 1-Year Master’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or a related major.
• Strong analytical coursework.
• Expected graduation by August 2026.
• Knowledge of and proficiency in a coding language, with a willingness to learn and apply Python or SQL during the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of machine learning/data science theory, techniques, and tools.
• Experience working with large disparate data sets.
• Experience in mathematics and statistics modeling.
• Awareness of big data technologies (Hive, Hadoop, Spark) and/or computer clusters.
• Awareness of standard analytical tech stacks (Jupyter Notebooks, AWS, Spark, PyTorch, R, etc.).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present findings in an understandable manner to a non-technical audience.
