Job Description: Software Engineering Intern
The TikTok Open Platform team is seeking talented individuals to join them for a 12-week internship program starting in May/June 2025. This internship aims to provide students with hands-on experience, industry exposure, and a chance to explore potential career paths.
Responsibilities:
• Build new, high-quality features used by thousands of developers, reaching millions of TikTok users worldwide.
• Solve unique, highly complex technical problems.
• Participate in technical discussions with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2025.
• Experience with at least one coding language.
• Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Graduating December 2025 onwards with the intent to return to a degree program after the completion of the internship.
• Demonstrated software engineering experience from previous internships, work experience, projects, or coding competitions.
• Prior internship or project experience in Golang is a plus.
• Prior experience or coursework with HTTP/REST APIs or cloud services is a plus.
• High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities.
Benefits:
• The hourly rate range for this position is $45-$60.
