Job Description: ALIS Administrator (Expat Position in Italy)

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment Team as an ALIS Administrator, supporting the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program in a dynamic expat role. You’ll be directly involved in ensuring the smooth operation of the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) which is critical for the daily flight schedules of our Italian Air Force (ItAF) customer.

Key Responsibilities:

Subject Matter Expert: Serve as the primary point of contact for the ALIS product suite, providing technical expertise and support to our ItAF customer.
System Management: Maintain the functionality of ALIS, including reviewing processes/procedures, collecting operational data, and managing associated hardware/software.
Disaster Recovery: Ensure the stability of the system through backups, restores, and disaster recovery plans.
Training: Train and mentor ItAF personnel and ALIS users on the system’s operation.
Security: Maintain the secure operation of multi-user computer systems, including security configuration, monitoring, and incident response.

Location: Ghedi Air Base, near Ghedi, Italy. This is an expat position with SOFA privileges, offering benefits like a SOFA-sponsored driver’s license, access to US military bases for shopping and healthcare, etc.

Qualifications:

Security Clearance: Candidates must have a Secret security clearance or higher with an investigation within the last 6 years and be able to obtain and retain a DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+, CASP+, or CISSP).
Experience: Experience in security patching, security controls, incident response, and a strong understanding of security vulnerabilities is essential.
Communication & Leadership: Must be a good communicator with strong leadership skills, a self-starter, have the ability to make timely decisions, and be willing to learn all facets of the ALIS Suite System.
Education/Experience: A bachelor’s degree, OR an associate’s degree plus 4 years of specialized experience, OR a major certification plus 4 years of specialized experience, OR 8 years of specialized experience is required.

Desired Skills:

• International work experience in IT/Engineering
• Experience Troubleshooting Applications
• Familiarity with auditing tools like SPLUNK
• Experience with Active Directory/Oracle/CRM and virtual machine management services like Hyper-V or VMware
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux System Administrator experience
• Experience working for or supporting the US military/Foreign Military
• A US DoD Top Secret Clearance
• Previous residency in a non-US location where English is not the primary language spoken
• Italian language skills (preferred, but not mandatory)

This is an operational support role, so the selected candidate may be required to work at deployed locations, support rotating shifts, and work over 40 hours per week, including weekends, as dictated by mission requirements. A current Valid Passport is also required.
