Discovery II Internship – Risk & Financial Advisory

This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the professional services world. You’ll get an inside look at what it’s really like to work for a firm like Deloitte.

Here’s what you’ll do:

Client Projects: Be assigned to one or more client projects where you’ll receive mentorship and support to ensure your success. This provides real-world experience and exposure to practical applications of your studies.
Learning and Networking: Participate in a variety of national and local events designed to enhance your understanding of the industry and connect you with Deloitte professionals. This includes lunch and learns, industry/service line spotlights, and regularly scheduled training sessions.
Skill Development: Develop technical and client service skills through structured training programs. This internship will help you refine your communication, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
Networking Opportunities: Build a cross-functional professional network through interactions with Deloitte professionals and other interns. You’ll also participate in social events that encourage camaraderie and connection.

How you’ll grow:

Mentorship: You’ll be assigned a mentorship team comprising a counselor (manager or senior manager) and an onboarding advisor (peer level “buddy”). This team will offer career guidance, feedback, and support throughout the internship.
Formal Evaluation: Participate in a formal goal-setting and evaluation process to track your progress and identify areas for growth.
Future Opportunities: Depending on performance and other factors, you may have the opportunity to receive a subsequent internship offer at Deloitte. Freshman interns might have the opportunity to continue in the Discovery program through their sophomore summer. Sophomore interns have the opportunity to receive a client service internship offer at the conclusion of the Discovery Internship Experience.

Qualifications:

Required:

• College student with an anticipated graduation date of December 2026 or Spring/Summer 2027 with definitive plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in accounting, business, cyber, STEM, or a related field.
• Strong academic performance (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0) and a record of extracurricular activities.
• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship (applies to Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory, which includes Deloitte & Touche LLP, Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP, or its affiliate, Deloitte Transactions and Business Analytics LLP).

Preferred:

• Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
• A proven history of collegiate level leadership (e.g., membership in a campus club or society), with a preference for affiliation with organizations committed to inclusion.
• A proven history of collegiate philanthropic activity.
