Job Description:

Lockheed Martin Space in White Sands Missile Range, NM, is seeking a full-time Early Career Spacecraft/Satellite Flight Operations TS/SCI. This role involves supporting a 24/7 crew or direct support day staff position within Flight Operations. The successful candidate will be required to work rotating shifts and will undergo an extensive education and certification program to utilize their existing engineering skills in support of a crucial customer mission.

Responsibilities:

• Support on-orbit spacecraft or satellite flight operations.
• Contribute to a 24/7 crew or direct support day staff within Flight Operations.
• Work rotating shifts.
• Enhance existing engineering skills through an extensive education and certification program.

Qualifications:

• Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a science and technology related program such as Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related disciplines. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, including US Citizenship.
• Desired Skills: Strong problem solving skills, strong communication skills, self-motivated learner, ability to work effectively in group settings, experience working with on-orbit spacecraft or satellite flight operations. Familiarity with LINUX, MATLAB, JAVA, C++, PERL, ORACLE/SQL, HTML, or XML. Understanding of software/hardware infrastructure, middleware, and system architectures.

Security Clearance:

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/Poly

Location:

This position is located at a facility that requires special access in White Sands Missile Range, NM.

Work Schedule:

Rotating 40 hour week as assigned by leader
