Summary:
The Deloitte Discovery Internship offers a unique opportunity to gain an inside look at the professional services world. It provides hands-on experience, mentorship, and networking opportunities for students with diverse backgrounds and interests.
Key Responsibilities:
• Client Projects: Interns will be assigned to one or more client projects, gaining practical experience and receiving support to achieve success on the engagement.
• Learning and Networking: The internship provides a variety of national and local learning and networking events, including:
• Lunch and learns
• Industry/service line spotlights
• Regularly scheduled training offerings
• Social activities to network with Deloitte professionals
• Skills Development: Interns will develop technical and client service skills through practical experience and targeted training.
• Career Exploration: The internship provides a firsthand understanding of a career with Deloitte and the opportunity to build a cross-functional professional network.
Internship Expectations:

Areas of Focus:
Deloitte is recruiting interns whose skills and interests align with one of the following areas:
• Business Intern: Focuses on business problem-solving, project management, requirements gathering, data analysis, and delivering practical solutions.
• Business Technology Solutions Intern: Combines technology and business, working to inform client technology decisions, scale capabilities, and promote organizational vision.
• Data Intern: Leverages data analytics and technology skills to design and develop data-driven systems, including cloud-based data processing pipelines, machine learning models, and data visualization dashboards.
• Solutions Engineering Intern: Possesses a pioneer mindset for technical solutioning, working as a tinkerer, problem solver, and programmer to develop innovative solutions.
Growth Opportunities:
• Mentorship: Each intern is assigned a mentorship team, including a counselor and an onboarding advisor.
• Goal Setting and Evaluation: Formal goal-setting and evaluation processes help interns track their progress and receive feedback.
• Subsequent Internship Opportunities: Depending on performance, Discovery interns may be eligible for further internship opportunities with Deloitte.
Qualifications:
• Required:
• College student with an anticipated graduation date of 2027.
• Definitive plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (see areas of focus above for specific majors).
• Strong academic performance (3.0 cumulative GPA required).
• Extracurricular activities.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Preferred:
• GPA of 3.2.
• Proven history of collegiate level leadership.
• Affiliation with organizations committed to inclusion.
• Proven history of collegiate philanthropic activity.
