Job Description: PRN Adult Inpatient RD
This PRN position involves adult inpatient coverage across a variety of patient populations. The RD team is well-established within the interdisciplinary team, providing high-level practice with a wide scope. This role offers opportunities for professional growth, including involvement with the School of Medicine, intern mentorship, and quality improvement projects. The RD will work closely with nursing, the medical team, therapies, social work, and case management to care for hospitalized patients on oral diets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provides medical nutrition therapy, including nutrition assessment, diet modifications, education, and intervention for patients.
• Follows guidelines within the Company Diet Manual and the Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and accrediting agency regulations, adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies.
• Trains and mentors patient services staff and interns.
• Participates in patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility-wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs.
