HVAC Service Technician

They are committed to creating an inclusive work environment and are looking for a HVAC Service Technician to join their team in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The HVAC Service Technician will provide quality services and/or products while focusing on customer satisfaction and safety. They will service, inspect and install residential gas and electric appliances and equipment to comply with codes and ensure superior service in terms of safety, reliability, customer satisfaction and monetary value. The Technician will also respond to utility related calls for all customers, locate gas leaks at customer’s premise, and take necessary steps to maintain public and personal safety.

The HVAC Service Technician will promote and accept accountability for providing superior customer satisfaction and selling of Home Service Plus products and services (e.g., Service Plus contracts, options, HSP sales referrals) to customers. They will maintain professional working relationships with internal and external customers. They will also respond to emergency situations to assure the safe delivery of natural gas and to maintain public and personal safety.

The Technician will demonstrate efficient and productive work practices and identify or recommend and/or incorporate improved methods to increase productivity working within division procedures and guidelines. They will operate and maintain company vehicle in a safe manner, control parts inventory, and be responsible for tool and equipment condition in order to ensure safe efficient service. They will develop, maintain and demonstrate related skill proficiency based on changes in products and/or technology in order to provide service excellence.

The ideal candidate will have a 1 or 2 year, diploma or associate degree program (minimum 2 semesters or 3 quarters) at an accredited educational institution in heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent technical skills.

Experience Tech B requires an entry level position with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in heating, refrigeration and air conditioning. Tech A must have been a Tech B for 6 months, and Special Technician must have completed at least two years in the “A” Technician classification.
