Job Summary As a Senior Analyst on the Regulatory Reporting team, you’ll work as part of a team responsible for the development and preparation of accounting schedules and workpapers for rate filings with regulatory agencies that form the basis for our cost-based rates charged to utility customers. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for communicating and reporting to regulatory agencies annual accounting, informational, and statistical reports and other reports, as needed. In order to be successful and ensure regulatory requirements are met timely and accurately, you must partner with several departments within the organization such as finance, accounting, legal, treasury, operations, engineering, and other regulatory functions, among others.
The Regulatory Reporting team is also embarking on an exciting new phase as part of a software implementation to which you’ll play a key role. The team has begun the rollout of the Utilities International Planner (“UI Planner”) software solution, and it is currently in use for several major filings. This software allows for reduced lead-times in preparation, thereby allowing for a greater emphasis on analysis and more efficient execution of our regulatory strategy. As we continue to expand and further leverage this new tool, you will be in prime position to be ‘in on the ground floor,’ setting the stage and laying the foundation for years of future success.
