Job Description

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Flight Control Law Engineer to join their research and development team. This role involves the simulation, design, analysis, and testing of advanced control methodologies for a variety of unclassified and classified vehicles. The position is based in Fort Worth, TX, and requires a government security clearance (US Citizenship is mandatory).

Responsibilities:

• Develop and analyze flight control laws for advanced aerospace vehicles.
• Simulate and test control systems using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Implement control algorithms in C/C++ for real-time applications.
• Collaborate with other engineers and researchers to develop innovative control solutions.

Qualifications:

Required:
• PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Software Engineering.
• Experience with control system design and analysis.
• Experience with adaptive control.
• Knowledge of non-traditional control methods (neural networks, reinforcement learning).
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and coding in C/C++.
Desired:
• Experience with hypersonic vehicle guidance and control.
• Experience with state estimation algorithms, stochastic processes, and optimal control theory.

This is a full-time position with the potential for part-time remote work. Lockheed Martin offers various work schedules, including a 4×10 hour day with 3 days off per week, to provide flexibility for its employees.
