Crop Inputs Associate
Cargill’s Crop Inputs Associate is responsible for providing agronomic and crop production product solutions to farm customers. Working as part of the Agricultural Supply Chain – North America (CASC NA), this role plays a vital part in connecting agricultural producers to food, feed, and industrial customers.
Responsibilities
• Provide outstanding agronomic advice to help farm customers make informed crop production decisions
• Collaborate with the location sales and agronomy team to develop and deliver effective solutions
• Participate in training programs to enhance agronomy and selling skills
• Maintain a thorough understanding of agronomy services, farm customer needs, and the agriculture industry
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and other key stakeholders
Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Agricultural Business, Agronomy, Plant Science, Soils Science, or a related discipline
• Expected graduation between December 2023 and August 2024
• Possess a valid Canadian driver’s license
• Legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
• Eligible for membership in the Provincial Institute of Agrologists
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Ability to relocate to various locations throughout Western Canada
• Previous scouting experience
• Sales aptitude
• Knowledge of the crop inputs business and supplier relationships
• Understanding of Canadian agricultural production and farm management
