Job Description:

This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the production of military missiles at Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control in Troy, Alabama. The role involves providing technical support to Production Operations, encompassing a wide range of responsibilities, including:

Supporting Development and Operation of Automated Test Equipment: You’ll contribute to the design and implementation of automated systems used for missile production assembly, integration, and testing.
Creating and Maintaining Detailed Test Plans & Procedures: You’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining comprehensive test plans and procedures that ensure the quality and performance of the missiles.
Hands-on Manufacturing Floor Support: You’ll provide on-the-ground support for the integration, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical/electronic components in military missiles. This will involve working directly on the manufacturing floor and collaborating with production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret engineering requirements from product data drawings, parts lists, specifications, and schematics.
• Conduct thorough electronic circuit testing and analysis to support missile production and testing.
• Utilize statistical data to identify potential failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Demonstrate strong hands-on skills in assembling, disassembling, and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, industrial, and/or home equipment and products.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with testing and troubleshooting electronic circuits.
• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Desired Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and schematics.
• Understanding of electronic circuits.
• Experience using electronic test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, function generator, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, frequency counter, network analyzer).
• Experience with programming languages (C, C++, C#, National Instrument’s Lab-View Lab-Windows CVI, Test-Stand software).
• Knowledge of general manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Location:

Troy, Alabama, a charming small town with a vibrant college atmosphere.

Schedule:

• Must be able to work all schedules/shifts (first shift, night shift, and weekend schedule).
• The standard work schedule is 4×10 hour days, with 3 days off per week.
