General Description:

Our high-productivity printers transport a significant number of loose printed sheets. Ink, moisture, and climate conditions can cause these sheets to deform. To ensure the robust performance of our machines, we are looking for a creative and challenge-driven individual to develop a unit that can deform sheets in a defined manner for testing purposes.

Your Role:

This internship will involve the following activities:

1. Problem Definition: Clarify the requirements for the sheet deformation unit, taking into account the challenges of sheet deformation and integration into our existing machinery. You will gather information from your coaches and colleagues with relevant expertise.

2. Ideation & Design: Generate ideas for the sheet deformation unit using design approaches aligned with the curriculum at Fontys. Choose the best solution based on the requirements.

3. Prototyping & Testing: Translate the chosen design into a breadboard or function test setup. Verify the performance of the setup.

4. Test Plan & Execution: Develop a detailed test plan to evaluate the effectiveness and robustness of the sheet deformation unit. Execute the plan.

5. Reflection & Recommendations: Analyze the results of the testing and provide recommendations for further development and optimization of the sheet deformation unit.
