About the Job
The Pastoral Care Intern provides pastoral care and counsel to patients and families at UNC Health Medical Center. This is an 11-week Summer program that runs from May 28th to August 9th. The Intern will work up to 40 hours per week and will participate in the ministry of the department, including the overnight on-call schedule and leading worship services.
Responsibilities
• Provide pastoral care and counsel to patients, family members, and staff
• Participate in the ministry of the department
• Participate in the clinical pastoral education training process
Qualifications
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Ordination and ecclesiastical endorsement from denomination/faith group preferred but not required
• One to three months related experience and/or training
