About the Job
The Head of Talent Acquisition leads full-service recruitment and talent acquisition for Love’s. The incumbent is responsible for developing and maintaining Love’s recruitment and talent acquisition framework, processes, and infrastructure. In collaboration with senior leadership across the organization, the position defines the strategies, processes, standards, tools, and policies for external candidate sourcing and recruitment, new hire onboarding and retention, internal mobility, recruitment technology implementation and management, employment branding, and early career and diversity recruitment. In partnership with the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and as a member of the HR Leadership Team, this role will utilize creative recruiting and search strategies to attract and retain top performers at all levels. The incumbent develops and utilizes metrics and measurement tools to track performance, development, and implementation of strategies to align with Love’s key performance expectations.
Major Responsibilities
• Business Partnering
• Acts as a change agent, strategic advisor, and partner to the business, HR, and TA teams.
• Strategically partners with leadership to support productivity, workforce planning, and staffing plans.
• Works in partnership with total rewards to ensure compensation and benefits offerings are competitive.
• Fosters a recruitment team that is accessible and serves as a business partner to HR business partners and business leaders to drive recruitment best practices.
• Partners with leaders to ensure diverse slates are present in all recruiting efforts.
• Supports the CHRO in executive level recruitment and utilizes strategies appropriate for the level of position.
• Strategy & Leadership
• Connects the recruitment strategy with Love’s strategic priorities and HR strategy.
• Builds strategies to attract and retain candidates in all stages of their career (i.e. interns, early career, mid-career, experienced).
• Develop strategies to maintain an internal pipeline of talent through internal mobility and staying in tune with succession planning for internal placements.
• Builds strategies to ensure a strong employer value proposition.
• Analyzes market and internal trends that affect recruitment activity.
• HR Process & Systems
• Utilizes creative and proactive recruiting techniques to attract top talent.
• Continuously reviews and improves the talent acquisition end-to-end process for a frictionless candidate experience.
• Leverages applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment marketing, and various other HRIS and software to improve the applicant experience and streamline the recruitment process for internal and external candidates.
• Assesses current and new technology, to improve the candidate, team, and leader experience.
• Develop strategic sourcing processes and capabilities to deliver for the business.
• Benchmarks key talent acquisition metrics and ensures Love’s recruitment strategy remains competitive.
• Is knowledgeable on the latest talent acquisition trends in the labor market and develops proactive strategies to manage change.
• Maintains/upholds regulatory readiness in employment and ensures local, state, and Federal employment laws are followed.
• Develops, recommends, and monitors budgets and expense controls.
